If it is not confirmed within the 3 days allowed to confirm, the following actions will be taken. (If you don't see the confirmation email, check your junk or spam folder in your email that you signed up with.)

 

If, after 7 days you have not confirmed your email, I will lock your account. If I am not contacted by you within three (3) days after the locking of your account, your account will be swept (deleted).

 

 

 

This should be self-explanatory, however, there are some people who like to create fake profiles & dupe others into believing that they're talking to Ville Valo (for example) for whatever reason. You may not register with the real names or aliases (assumed or otherwise) of celebrities, eg. Ville Valo, etc. Thank you.

 

Anyone caught using a celebrity's name on here or being dishonest about who they are will be deleted from the community & promptly reported to higher powers, if needed. 

 

Furthermore, if any members who have problems or encounter a member 'posing' as someone else (celebrities or other) please contact the administrators here to let us know, ASAP. 

 

 

Section 2: This is currently NOT Applicable since the music players have been removed.
Regarding the Music Players on our network

The only music the Admin. here will approve for the music players are partial (sample) music. This protects the admin. & network from any legal responsibility & makes us responsible by not allowing illegal music downloads. More info on how to make sample music, can be found in the Profile FAQ.

4. Please do NOT upload 'preview' music clips made into videos or other non- official music videos. (Currently not applicable.)

 

 

Also speculation about a member's health, etc. is NOT to be discussed. That is their business, not ours. It's unfair to speculate & pass judgment on someone, regardless of who they are, so please keep your speculations to yourself. Thank you.

 

 

To keep our members safe, per our Privacy Policy, any administrators who host contests will NOT share any personal information with anyone within or outside the community. Furthermore, any members who share information of distribution of physical prizes only share that information with the administrator hosting the contest. It is NOT a requirement for members to share such information, tho' winning would become null & void & prize would be offered to next runner-up.

 

Members are prohibited to disclose any information of a personal nature to others per the Privacy Policy.

 

  

Fighting and personal insults toward members here will not be tolerated.

We do not tolerate racism, sexism, abuse, victimization, or any other types of discrimination. We understand people have different opinions and debates are more than welcome, as long as you only debate the idea & not attack the person. 

 

Also, general bitchiness/ cattiness toward anyone will not be tolerated.

 

It is expected that you show each other respect, even on other sites. Members who spread rumours & lies about others-even on other sites- will be removed from here for divulging in such behaviour.  

 

If you do have a problem with another member, please be mature & discuss the problem with them in private messages. But, above all, BE RESPECTFUL! If the problem isn't resolved, please contact Magik about the problem. Messages or other actions will then be taken to resolve the problem. Thank you.

 

I'm also going to include this (since in the past, I had a member who did this on another site): Do NOT ever post comments within the network here 'poking fun of' or making rude comments about a person & referring to them as an echo, etc. Act mature- consider the fact that we have members from different parts of this world & not everyone is going to be completely fluent in English. Keep in mind that it might be difficult for some to communicate the way they'd like to, so they may repeat a little bit of what they read when they post something. If that happens either pull up your big girl (or boy) panties and DEAL with it or leave. This kind of rudeness will not be tolerated & I will NOT be pulled in 2 directions over this issue. 'Nuff said.

FANFICTION/ SLASHFIC

We do not allow abusive, violent or overly pornographic material to be posted. 

 

This network has a 'No Phantom Profiles' policy. It's unfair for people to sign up, make their profile, upload photos, etc. & then abandon their account. Other members use the same space for uploading of pictures, etc. & this network is NOT a storage place. If you are going to be gone for a period of time, please let us know. Thank you.

   

 

Site Solicitation
Members who sign up only to advertise/ solicit their own site (either elsewhere on Spruz or elsewhere in general) & are NOT active/ don't participate will have their account removed within 30 days of the creation of their account. 

 

Also, if I find out you are sending messages to members here to join your site, you will be removed. I don't solicit my site on your community or site, so please don't do it here. Thank you.

 

Members who wish to apply for administration, must be a member for at least 2 months before you can apply. Futhermore, if you apply to be a moderator, you need to be active- meaning checking into the site more than once a week & interacting within the network/ with other members.

*Members who are currently Moderators/ Administrators will not lose their positions, except under the following:

 

 

 

 

-Their account is inactive over a month.

 

 

 

When using tags of any sort that is made for this site & made available for members to use, it is preferred that members save the image & upload that image & link from their own photo-hosting account (as mentioned above). Images & other graphics for profile themes, etc. are hosted on 'my' photo hosting accounts & too many members hotlinking these images can cause bandwidth overload to my accounts, thus buggering up the whole site.

 

The only images I will allow hotlinking from my accounts are graphics used in profile themes. Anything else you need to host on your own account. Thank you.

 

* Hot-linking from another's photo hosting or other webhosting site to post an image here in comments or on your own profile is NOT acceptable.

I decided to add this into the rules because there are some communities (that shall remain unmentioned) where the members have either posted pictures/ artwork without credit as well as those members posting photos without permission (when the site or photographers have stated not to repost them elsewhere). I simply don't want our site to be like those other communities. I can be held liable as well. 

 

If you post photographs or any other work by another person - you must credit duly where deserved and- if possible- place a link to official websites where you obtained the content. If you post or upload a picture that you don't know who to credit, that is fine. If one of the other members do know who the credit goes to, they can let the poster know & the post then be edited.

 

 

If such contests are held, either by the site owner or any of the staff, we may ask winners for mailing addresses to send out prizes. Per our Privacy Policy, this information will NOT be shared with anyone & the information will be destroyed after shipment of prize(s). 

 

Winners have the right to withhold any information of their address, but in so doing, relinquish those winnings to the next runner-up.

 

Any member has the ability to enter contests. Some contests may be only for 'active' members.

 

Active members can enter contests but anyone under the age of 18 MUST have parental consent. 

 

Only members who have won the previous contest would be ineligible to enter the next contest. This is to allow others a chance to win.

 

Prizes that are won are paid for either by the site owner or any of the staff hosting the contests.

 

* Winners agree to NOT resell any prizes won for profit. If any prizes are found on ebay or any other seller's site, etc., the member will no longer be eligible to enter contests &/ or contests on this community will cease.

 

** Winners are NOT allowed to use prizes for contests, competitions or giveaways on their own sites. If I find that prizes from here are used elsewhere for competitions, contests or any kind of 'giveaway', that member will be banned from this site. No questions asked. 

 

We love to see you all post on the comment wall. Sharing thoughts, etc., as well as well-wishes for fellow members is acceptable & encouraged. I will even allow comments about you posting being gone for an extended period of time, provided it isn't posted in manner that appears to be seeking attention, etc.

 

If posting a comment that you're going to be gone, it is not necessary to be specific. Simply state 'for personal' reasons, school, work- that is acceptable. Going into detail about a hospital stay, etc. is something better left on your own pages or in messages with your friends- even in a private message to me where it's NOT public. It does NOT have to posted on the main page of the site.

 

Any comments that appear to be of an 'attention-seeking' nature will be removed promptly from the main comment wall & a message will be sent to the person who posted the comment with a reason why the comment was deleted.

 

Another example that is NOT acceptable is posting you're depressed & need someone to talk to. Again, send a message to your friends, update your status on your own profile page or post it in the forum in the proper threads.

- Illnesses

- Accidents

- Others that are more 'personal' in nature.

 

Let's try to keep the network semi-professional & 'drama' free, please. Many other members will be grateful for your consideration concerning this problem. Thank you.

 

Any moderators or administrators that are able to remove others' comments from the comment wall have permission to remove them. Send a message to the member who posted the comment explaining why it was removed. If needed, link them back to the Terms of Membership.

 

In the event that comments such as the ones mentioned above are still posted, the site will be made private.
